New Homes

We helped The Museum of Contemporary Craft relocate from its historic neighborhood location to Portland’s North Park Blocks. The new museum contained two floors of exhibition spaces that open to the park through generous windows. Attention was given to controlling natural light and providing balance with artificial lighting. Also present was a light-filled sales gallery, flexible events lab, and multi-media space. Curatorial and administrative facilities are located on the upper level.

In 2016 the Contemporary Craft Museum closed its doors. The space was then purchased by the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education. The original spaces, largely unchanged, are now dedicated to the documentation and display of the Jewish people of Oregon.
